Meet our TeamsOur high school team is a group of highly motivated smart individuals, most of which have transferred from our middle school team, they are passionate about their work and proud of their achievements. The team is made up of students from all different schools, all of them joining us in the mission of FIRST.
We have 2 teams here at Whitmore Lake Robotics. A middle school team and a high school team. We also have programs for Kindergarten through 3rd and 4th through 6th grade. Our high school and middle school teams are a group of worldly, down to earth, individuals. The team is made up of students from all different schools. Students from Pinckney High School, to Kensington Woods, Livingston Classical Academy, Ann Arbor Christian, Whitmore Lake High School, Washtenaw Alliance for Virtual Education, and even some Homeschools, are all apart of our team! |
Who Are we?We are a group of young and aspiring engineers who band together over our unified love of robotics!
From school pep assemblies, to fiery competitions, we always bring our passion and dedication where ever we go What do We Do?In 6 weeks, we design, build, and program a robot to compete in various annual competitions.
The FIRST MissionThe mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be leaders and innovators in STEM, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, technology, engineering, and mathematical skills that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
Our MissionUsing the FIRST values of Professionalism and Coopetition, the Whitmore Lake Robotics Program's mission is to advance respect and appreciation for engineering within not only the team, but the school, town, and the greater Whitmore Lake community. WLRP is a student-led and student-run team, so that the team can build more than just robots: they can build relationships and communication skills. By pairing the engineering and communication skills of FIRST, WLRP serves to inspire capable, innovative, and team-oriented leaders of tomorrow.
